+ BACKGROUND

Albert practices civil and commercial litigation with focus on construction, professional liability, business and property damage. He is an experienced litigator who strives to meet each client’s objectives, whether practical and efficient resolution or hearing the matter before a court or tribunal. Albert also has an undergraduate degree in civil engineering from McGill University with emphasis on structural engineering and construction project management. He has insight into the design and construction for buildings and infrastructure. Albert’s experience includes all sizes of projects, from residential homes, utilities, streets and municipal buildings, to larger projects such as condo towers, processing plants, bridges, hydroelectric dams, and mines.

With almost two decades of practice, Albert has extensive trial experience and has appeared at all court levels in Ontario and British Columbia. He enjoys learning about the challenges in his client’s cases and how experts can help or undermine their interests. Prior to Sutherland Law, Albert developed his advocacy skills in downtown Toronto and Vancouver, working at prominent litigation firms in insurance, construction, business and personal injury law.

Beyond his law practice, Albert enjoys time with his family and two dogs, travelling, photography, running, and playing squash.
