+ BACKGROUND

John practices civil and commercial litigation with a growing focus on construction law and contract disputes. He joined Sutherland Law as an associate after articling at a midtown Toronto firm that focused on estate litigation.

John received an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, where he studied history. While in law school, he served as a Division Leader at the Community & Legal Aid Services Program (CLASP), passionately advocating for our society’s most vulnerable members. Additionally, he was a staff writer for Obiter Dicta, Osgoode's student-run newspaper.

Outside of his legal pursuits, John finds fulfilment in soccer, chess, travel, and the timeless charm of classic films.
